Shungite is only found around Lake Onega in Russia. In its raw state, it is powdery like carbon. It is stablised to be made into jewellery and polished into shapes. It can often be mistaken for hematite, but hematite has more of a silvery mirror like shine.

As well as being protective against environmental toxins, shungite will protect you from the negative energies of other people.
